WATER UPDATE 13/05/2024 10am

Water supply has now been restored.

We are aware of 2 leaks in the pipeline at Shipton Bellinger, the most severe of which on the junction with High Street/Bulford Road taking priority for repair. Given the urgency, we have engaged a specialist leak repair team to carry out the repair as swiftly as possible. However, we need council permission to dig in the road which may take 24 hours to obtain. This will unfortunately mean a controlled outage for the High Street area of a few hours (more information to follow) at some point this week (likely Tue or Wed). However, once repaired and restored, will mean better pressure in the village.

In the meantime, thank you for using water sparingly whilst pressure is built across the whole network.

NORMAL USAGE CAN NOW RECOMMENCE WITHOUT HAVING A NEGATIVE AFFECT ON ANY OTHER SUPPLY.

Air locks continue to be released from the network throughout today and we are working with the few properties still suffering issues with water pressure.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all our customers for their amazing support over the last week in the most trying of circumstances.

More updates will follow including the steps we are taking to review emergency planning.
